Forthcoming Events

The Friends of Cobham Hall Heritage Trust organises a programme of events which runs throughout the year, including talks, concerts and dramatic performances.  Below are the forthcoming events they are organising.

If you wish to attend any of these events, please download the leaflets below for costs and booking details.

The Story of Tom Crean: Friday, 29th September

The thrilling stories of the two major expeditions to the Antarctic in the early 20th Century are told through the life of one of the exploration team – a seaman, navigator, and engineer who was a member of both Scott’s and Shackleton’s expeditions.  This is a remarkable story and a truly moving presentation given by the actor Aidan Dooley.

The evening will commence at 7.30pm with a Finger Buffet, and the performance will begin at 8.00pm. There will be a short 15-minute interval at 9.00pm.  The performance is due to finish at 10.20pm.  Tickets are £12.00 for members and £15.00 for non-members; price includes buffet and glass of wine.

My Real Family: Friday, 20th October

This is a moving and true story of Tony’s quest to find his real family.  Many of us have been fascinated when delving into our own ancestral history, and occasionally surprised by the revelations, but few of you will have made this particular discovery.  There is a warmth and emotion about this personal story which even those well-versed in family history cannot fail to admire.

The evening will commence at 7.30pm with a Finger Buffet, and the talk will begin at 8.00pm. Tickets are £11.00 each, which includes the buffet and glass of wine.
