A Whole lot of Hockey!

This week saw the annual Inter-House Hockey Tournament, with girls representing the four School Houses – Clifton, Darnley, Lenox and Richmond – in a round robin of quick matches.

After morning break-time the Seniors, teams made up of girls in Years 10 to 13, headed to the Activity Centre. The matches were incredibly close, and the cheering in the crowd particularly loud! Clifton came through victorious as the girls finished their matches in time for lunch, putting their House in a strong position.

Years 7 to 9 took to the pitch after lunch, and whilst the game was playing, many girls were practicing their skills on the other side of the Activity Centre, determined to represent their House to the best of their ability.  Again, the games were close, and goal difference was needed to separate the teams.  Lenox, third in the morning session, won the afternoon.

The overall results were calculated and announced in assembly today, and were met with much excitement.  The final places were as follows:

  1. Clifton
  2. Lenox
  3. Darnley
  4. Richmond

Congratulations to Clifton!
