Sixth Form: International Baccalaureate
Psychology can be studied at Higher and Standard Level as part of the IB.
Psychology aims to develop and encourage the systematic and critical study of human experiences and behaviour. Students learn to understand the biological, cognitive and sociocultural influences on human behaviour and explore alternative explanations of behaviour. Students develop the capacity to identify, analyse critically and evaluate theories, concepts and arguments about the nature and activities of the individual and society.
Throughout the course students learn to collect, describe and analyse data and test hypotheses through conducting a psychology experiment.
