Photography

Sixth Form: A Level

This is an exciting course enabling students to break creative boundaries and pursue personal interests. At the start of the course many students are novices to photography so in the first half term pupils learn the practical skills and cover camera basics, darkroom photography, Photoshop as well as historic and critical knowledge of key photographers.

This course will suit the experimental learner, eager to get involved with processes and possessing a keen creative interest.  Stronger evidence of technical, aesthetic and critical skills are required as is a more sophisticated overall presentation. However if you have a genuine interest in the subject and a core grounding in photography then you will excel at this level. There is a 1,000 to 3,000 word, informed, personal critical study.
