Welcome - GB

Welcome to Cobham Hall

Welcome to Cobham Hall - a leading international boarding and day school for girls aged 11 to 18.

Our magnificent Tudor manor house is set in 150 acres of historic parkland, with modern facilities including an indoor heated swimming pool, and a modern sports hall with dance studio and fitness suite.

Cobham Hall combines a modern international school with the best English tradition.  Our international student community is made up of approximately 50% British students, with the remainder representing 31 nationalities.

We are an IB World School, offering the International Baccalaureate Diploma in Sixth Form. We also offer an exciting one-year Pre-IB course for students aged 15 or 16, which is an excellent preparation for the two-year IB Diploma course.

The school is also a member of Round Square, an association of nearly 100 schools worldwide. Both associations share the belief that education should be exciting and challenging, preparing young people for real life through adventure, international understanding and service to others.

We are a small school, where staff and students get to know each other well. We provide a secure but challenging environment, which stimulates confident thinking, independent learning and a strong sense of inquiry. High standards of teaching ensure consistently good results in public examinations and students regularly gain places at leading universities, including Oxford, Cambridge and London.

Boarding at Cobham Hall is well organised and fun. A full programme of clubs, outings and activities is organised for students at weekends and after school. Trips include exploring historic towns and cities, visiting museums and exhibitions, and, of course, shopping. The school is also just 17 minutes from London by the new high speed rail link at Ebbsfleet.

All students are encouraged to play an active part in the management of their school. The Student Leadership Team (the Head Girl, her Deputy and the four House Captains) is elected annually by staff and students. The team works closely with staff and students, organising many social, sporting and cultural activities throughout the year. Our traditional House system is run by the House Captains, including inter-House competitions in sport, music, drama and debating.
