Cobham Hall is very fortunate in having dedicated Board of Governors, who bring a wide range of experience and expertise to the benefit of the School. Governors meet regularly at the School and offer invaluable advice and support to the Headmistress and her Management Team.

Chairman. Former Regional Director of the National Care Standards Commission - Sussex. Chairman of the Unicorn Association.
The Earl of Darnley
Vice Chairman. Lord Darnley is also closely involved in the protection of Cobham Hall's heritage through his position as Chairman of Cobham Hall Heritage Trust and President of the Friends of Cobham Hall Heritage Trust.
Mr A Tuckwell
Chairman of the Education Committee. Former Headmaster of King Edward VI Grammar School, Chelmsford. Since his retirement, he has undertaken extensive work for the National Educational Assessment Centre (of which he is National Director) and for the Secondary Heads Association, helping governing bodies with the appointment of Headteachers. He is also a trustee and member of the Board of Directors of the Chelmsford Cathedral Festival.
Mrs T Balch
An Elder of the School and Chairman of the Elders' Association. Former paediatric nurse (RGN and RSCN). Cobham Hall's Governors' Representative for Round Square, Chairman of the Friends of Round Square and site on the Executive Board of Round Square. Member of the General Purposes Committee.
Mr C Balch
Managing Director Europe in structured finance and investment banking for a German real estate bank in the City. Has 20 years experience in the City and for the past 5 years has worked throughout Europe. Member of the Finance Committee.
Ms P Cook
Head of Public Affairs at the Chartered Management Institute. Member of the Trust Board of the charity Heads, Teachers and Industry, and member of the Board of the Foundation for Management Education. A fellow of the RSA.
Mrs L Ellis
Former parent and Member of the Committee of the Unicorn Association (the School's Parent/Teacher association) and of the Committee of the Friends of Cobham Hall Heritage Trust. Member of the General Purposes Committee.
Dr M Griffin
Executive Secretary of the International Confederation of Principals. Former Headmistress of Axton Chase School, Longfield, Kent, and former President of the Secondary Heads' Association. Member of the Education Committee.
Mr W Trelawny-Vernon
A former stockbroker with Quilter Goodison and currently Headmaster of Saint Ronan's School in Hawkhurst, Kent. A member of IAPS and a Governor of Locker's Park, where he is Chair of the Education sub-committee.
