On Saturday 5 July, over 600 parents, staff, students and special guests attended the annual Festival Day.
This is a very special day in the school calendar, marking the end of the academic year. Visitors join staff and students for a celebration of the girls' achievements throughout the year. The Headmistress, Chairman of Governors and senior staff and students report on the activities of the year. Awards are presented for academic excellence and effort and achievements in sport and the arts, and the school's commitment to the Round Square ideals is reflected in awards for service, initiative and courtesy.

This year's Guest of Honour was Mrs Sarah Ritchie, a Cobham Hall Elder who now runs her own very successful design company. Sarah designed the school's new prospectus in 2007, revisiting Cobham with her photographer to capture the spirit and atmosphere of the school. The new prospectus was launched at a reception at The Gherkin in October 2007.
Visitors also enjoy an interval programme of music and drama, performed by girls from throughout the school and featuring the Senior and Middle School choirs.
The day finished with the Unicorn Leavers' Ball, an opportunity for the girls leaving Group 7 to celebrate the end of their time at Cobham Hall with friends, family and staff. |
