Bree Ellett and Madeline Davey have been on Round Square exchange to Cobham Hall.  Bree spent the Autumn Term with us, and Madeline joined in November and stayed until the Spring Half Term.

Hi, my name is Maddie.  I have been at Cobham Hall for a three month stay.  I am from Tasmania which is a State in Australia and I am on exchange from Scotch Oakburn College.  Whilst I have been here I have been offered a number of amazing opportunities. The Roles family, with which I have been staying, have been so welcoming and have taken me on the London Eye, to a Ball, to see Father Christmas at Harrods and to see Take That at the O2.  All these experiences have been incredible and I appreciate how much my host family and friends have done for me.

Hi, I’m Bree.  I am also an exchange student from Australia, except I am from Victoria on the mainland.  I have come on exchange from Ballarat Grammar School (near Melbourne).  These past three months I have been having the time of my life.  I have done so many incredible things and met so many amazing people.  I’ve been to fairs, bonfire night, experienced the craziness of Group Four Entertainment and am looking forward to seeing what the Staff Entertainment will bring.  It’s been interesting to be part of a different school life and half term in Scotland was wonderful.   I’ve had a great time boarding with the best roommates in the world and we’ve all managed to do an unbelievable amount of shopping.  I’ve experienced little things like London cabs, haggis and even having my Aussi accent teased.  It’s been great.

We have both had an amazing time at this beautiful school.  We would recommend going on exchange to anyone.  Yes, it has been hard to leave our friends, family and everything that we have ever known to travel twenty-five hours across the globe, to a school that we hadn’t ever heard of until a few months ago.  However we have been offered endless amounts of experiences that are impossible to replace and we have made friends for life.  Thank you so much to everyone that has helped to make our experience at Cobham Hall unforgettable.
