This year's GCSE results were the best ever recorded by Cobham Hall, with 97% of the students gaining five or more passes as A* to C.

These excellent results are especially pleasing for a non-selective school where the examination curriculum includes the more challenging academic subjects. Students did exceptionally well in Modern Languages, particularly French and Spanish, and in the more demanding IGCSE separate Science courses in Physics and Biology.

The Headmaster, Mr Paul Mitchell, commented: ‘I am very pleased with this record-breaking year, which is due to the hard work of the girls and the dedication of the staff. The school's Value Added score is again very good, with students improving on average by one grade in each subject. This reflects the individual support and encouragement given to students, which enables them to achieve well beyond their potential.'

Sophia Edwards achieved an excellent 11 subjects, 9 at A*.  Sophia has been awarded a Sixth Form Scholarship for September, and will be joining Cobham Hall's Sixth Form to study for her International Baccalaureate Diploma.

As an international school, Cobham Hall also takes pride in guiding and supporting students whose first language is not English through GCSE and A Levels to University entrance. This year's GCSE cohort included students from China, Belgium, Hong Kong, Pakistan, Ghana and Japan. The school's Susan Hampshire Centre also supports students with academic potential who need learning support. Staff are therefore particularly proud of those who overcame these challenges to achieve excellent results.
