Cultural Festival
The annual Cultural Festival on Friday 26 February was a colourful, entertaining and very happy event.
With girls from all over the world currently studying here, the opportunities to experience authentic cooking an entertainment are outstanding. Helped by the school's catering department, the girls cook and serve their national specialities, giving staff and students the chance to taste dishes from all over the world.
Girls and staff take the opportunity to wear national dress, adding style and colour to the event.
Following the feast, everyone crowds into the Gilt hall for a programme of entertainment devised and performed by the girls. With friendships spanning the wide range of nationalities in school, many girls choose to join other groups - joining in a traditional African dance, a Vietnamese folk tale and joining in a rousing rendition of the Canadian national anthem.
Nothing more clearly demonstrated the Round Square ethos than students from all over the world working together, learning from each other and enjoying the experience!
