Sixth Form Boarders arrived back at school, among them Lisa Elen Meyering, Kunika Kakuta and Deshani Gunathilake who spent several weeks of their summer holidays on Round Square Service Projects in two of the world’s poorest countries. To read more about their experiences, click here.

Saturday 10th September
The first weekend at school saw an exciting programme of weekend activities begin. Girls have been to Bluewater, Kensington Palace, Windsor Castle, and had an audience of hundreds watching them play Rounders in Hyde Park and it’s not even Half Term yet! Thursday 11th & Sunday 14th September
Cobham Hall was a popular venue for the media, with a photo shoot for a woman’s magazine and filming for a local television show taking place in the Library.

Year 7 and 8 girls got to know each other a little better on a camping trip in the school’s grounds. To read about the unique experience that is taking girls camping, click here.
Saturday 17th September 2011
Main Hall boarders were lucky enough to get a longbow lesson from the professionals while Cobham Hall’s grounds were being used to hold an International archery competition. The girls were congratulated on their skills over their one hour lesson with a few even invited to participate in another archery shoot in October.

Robyn Fuller, Year 11, back at school this week fresh from her exchange in Peru, obviously impressed everyone at her school there. Communications from Peru reported, “Robyn has done a wonderful job of adapting to Markham school life. She is cheerful, sociable and has a super attitude. Her teachers are very happy with her and I think she is leaving a terrific impression of herself and her school.” We hope to hear more about Robyn Fuller’s adventures once she’s caught up with all her friends – watch this space!

The Junior Cookery Club had their very first cooking session in the newly refurbished Cookery Room funded by the Unicorn Committee. There has also been a rolling programme of painting brightening up the school over the summer holidays and continuing in the Autumn Term. Thanks to our talented Maintenance team, the Music Department now has red feature walls, the Spanish classroom is bright green and Treetops Corridor in the Main Hall boarding area has recently turned a lovely shade of lemon yellow.Friday 23rd September 2011
We got news that former student Kate French, who left Cobham Hall in 2009, was part of the Great Britain U21 Modern Penthalon Team that became the European Champions in Poland in September. Kate French is an Elder. Click for more information about the Elders Association including contact information. 

We had a very busy break time in the Dining Room, holding Cobham’s very own Biggest Coffee Morning to raise money for Macmillan to help people affected by cancer. To find out how much money we raised, click here.

Cobham Hall girls triumphed in their first interschool hockey match against Gad’s Hill, winning 4-1. Congratulations to Georgia Chisnall, who scored three of Cobham’s goals and to Amy Hurst, who scored the other one. Parents can keep up to date with sports matches each week in the Parent’s Area.
