Cobham Hall School Website: Round Square
The Pillars of Round Square

The Round Square ethos is fundamental to life at Cobham Hall.  It is founded on the six pillars of Round Square:

Internationalism – Democracy – Environment – Adventure – Leadership - Service

Living together in our international boarding community demands understanding and tolerance.  It also gives the opportunity to learn about different cultures and to establish life long friendships with girls from around the world.

Democracy in action can be seen in the annual Guardian Convention, where the whole school, staff and students, participate in the election of the new Guardian (Head Girl) and her supporting team of Deputies and House Captains.

Environmental awareness is very close to home, with our stunning historic house and surrounding parkland in constant use for conservation and environmental studies.

Our Outward Bound and Duke of Edinburgh Award programmes offer great opportunities for adventure.

Girls from Lower School to Sixth Form are encouraged to develop their leadership skills.  Each Tutor Group elects a Group Leader to represent the Group at School Council meetings.

Round Square offers a unique opportunity for students and staff to take part in service projects, working side by side with villagers to complete the building of a new school, or the installation of a water system.

Round Square schools also organise fundraising activities in school to support international projects.
