International Culture celebrated at Cobham Hall

With girls from all over the world studying at Cobham Hall, the culinary opportunities are outstanding!  On Friday 22 February the school held its annual Cultural Festival.  Helped by the school chef and his team, girls cooked and served their national dishes which were then served buffet style in the dining room, giving staff and fellow students the chance to taste dozens of dishes from all over the world.

Everyone then crowded into the Gilt Hall for an international entertainment devised and performed by the girls.  This year's show began with a parade of flags, representing all the countries currently represented at Cobham hall.  With friendships spanning the wide range of nationalities, many girls chose to join a different group.  This year we saw girls joining in Indian dancing, Australian crocodile hunting and a demonstration on how to put on the Japanese kimono.  Folk tales from China and Africa were dramatised, and some extremely funny sketches have proved that a good sense of humour crosses all international boundaries!
