What it is like to be ..... Head of House

Many things go on in boarding that you might not know if you’re not a boarder yourself. One of these things is being lucky enough to be Head of House.  The Head of House is elected by the other boarders in the house to represent the group and lead them to be the best they can be and have the most fun possible as boarders.  Here one Head of House describes what it’s like.

 

“My name is Joy Man and I have been the Head of House for Group 4.  I have really enjoyed the year with them although I came in the middle of the term.  It was a really good experience.  I have enjoyed helping them with different problems.  I made recycling boxes for plastic, paper and metal for the common room to make it greener and eco friendly.  They would come to me if they had any problems that they couldn’t tell the teachers and I would pass on the messages.  I have helped to organise birthday parties for the girls and they really enjoyed it.  I also made lots of chocolate milkshakes for them at the end of term to make it even more fun.  I would like to work with them again.”
