Darnley take Inter-House Cross-Country Win

A cool Autumn morning; cloudy skies; the threat of rain: the perfect setting for the first Inter-House sports competition of the new academic year – Cross-Country.

With staff stationed around the 3km course to cheer them on, the girls headed to West Court for the start at 3.30pm.  Following a warm-up, Head of PE Mrs Hooper gave the girls some words of encouragement before starting the race.  The girls showed determination as they headed up West Lawn.

In true Cobham Hall girl spirit, our winners were the first to be heard shouting encouragement and cheering on each of the remaining students, regardless of House, as they came across the finish line.

The individual top ten was confirmed as:

  1. Maisy, Year 10, Lenox
  2. Lilly, Year 11, Clifton
  3. Natasha, Year 7, Darnley
  4. Charlotte, Year 11, Lenox
  5. Victoria, Year 13, Clifton
  6. Olivia, Year 7, Clifton
  7. Alice Fry, Year 9, Clifton
  8. Enya, Year 8, Clifton
  9. Ella, Year 9, Lenox
  10. Nerea, Year 10, Darnley

Congratulations to the top ten, and well done to all girls taking part.  Staff commented on how clear it was that many were giving 100%.

The event was an Inter-House competition, and so the overall results were as follows:

  1. Darnley
  2. Clifton
  3. Lenox
  4. Richmond

Well done, Darnley House!
