What a start for A Level Politics at Cobham Hall!

Congratulations to our Year 12 Politics students, who came second in their first ever Politics competition. Organised by the Political Studies Association (PSA), the girls had to produce a short video entitled “Brexit: What it means to me”.

They were delighted to discover during half term that they were one of four schools shortlisted, and would be visiting Westminster Palace to present their video at Speaker’s House to a judging panel which included Mr Bercow.

They were informed of their second place, with the PSA commenting, “The judges were particularly impressed with this team's subject knowledge, particularly when they discovered this is the first year the school has taught A-Level Politics.” The video was created by the whole team, Anna, Akuboye, Sarah, Teloni, Tami and Alessi, with Akuboye, Tami and Teloni representing the team at Westminster Palace.

What a start for the new subject, which was introduced when Cobham Hall reintroduced A Levels this September, as part of an exciting new Sixth Form Programme.
