Super Showjumping

While some girls headed to Barbados over half-term for a Netball Tour, for one Year 7 pupil the half-term break meant one thing: the National Schools’ Individual Show-Jumping Competition.

Isabelle explained afterwards that while travelling to the event at Duckhurst Farm she had a rush of nerves.  But this soon settled after she saw the course.  Competing on her pony, Ben, Isabelle won the 75cm class! She said, “My mum and I were gobsmacked!”

Isabelle then jumped in the 85cm class where she found herself in first place for a while, before being pushed down to third.

A first and third place in her first time competing at the National Schools’ Equestrian Association is fantastic and we look forward to seeing Isabelle competing in more events.  Well done, Isabelle!
