Welcome from the Headmistress
Welcome to our school. Set in 150 acres of Grade II listed grounds with a Tudor era manor at its heart, Cobham Hall has been providing a world class education for girls aged 11-18 locally, nationally and internationally since its foundation in 1962.
We are a forward-looking school who understand and know how to prepare our girls for the challenges of the twenty-first century. We are steeped in history, but fully understand the pressures facing young women today and we seek to build resilience as well as foster a “can do” attitude in our girls. Cobham Hall is a special place. Its family atmosphere is key to its success and parents know they can rely on the staff to enable the girls to strive for excellence in both their academic studies and co-curricular activities. The School ethos of “Plus et en vous”, there is more in you, is core to everything we do. Every girl will have her own journey of discovery and we are always there to support, encourage and celebrate each step along the way.
We know that good mental wellbeing is essential for academic success and we take pride in the fact that our pastoral care was deemed to be excellent by the Independent School Inspectorate. Cobham girls are happy girls and the different year groups mix freely with one another. We take learning seriously but we know how to have fun too and your daughter will make friends, life-long friends, during her time with us.
Cobham girls are caring, compassionate and courageous in everything they undertake. Enjoy exploring what we have to offer on our website and do come and visit us to find out more.
