When filling staff vacancies at Cobham Hall, we look for talented, motivated staff who have a passion for working with young people.

We currently have vacancies for:

Finance Assistant

We are seeking to appoint a Finance Assistant to join our Accounts Department and assist in providing high quality accounting support to our parents, students, staff and senior leadership team.

Your responsibilities will include processing purchase invoices, preparing supplier payments, reconciling credit card statements and petty cash as well as updating bank records and processing timesheets.

You should have good spreadsheet and computing skills, high professional standards together with a friendly personality and excellent communication skills. You will work within a team but must have the ability, and be happy, to work on your own initiative.

This is a part time role, 15 hours per week. There is some flexibility as to when the hours are worked. Please contact Mrs Kay Pinder to discuss.

Salary is between £17,000 and £18,000 per annum, which will be paid on a pro-rata basis.  This is equivalent to between £6,800 and £7,200/annum which is an hourly rate of between £8.72 and £9.23/hour.   You will be entitled to 25 days paid holiday pro-rata and eight bank holidays on a pro-rata basis.

Benefits include a contributory pension scheme.

School Librarian

We are looking to appoint a creative and inspiring Librarian to run our School Library.

The role is term-time only and part-time, 9:30 am - 2:30pm, 25 hours per week.

You should have library experience and demonstrate a creative approach to the role of the School Library in enrichment, literacy and the cultural and academic development of young people.

Duties will include organising the Library and its resources in order to meet the needs of the School’s curriculum and to support the reading, learning and information requirements of the students and staff.   You will also need to be able to monitor the Library budget.

Salary is £25,000 per annum, which will be paid on a pro-rata basis.  This is equivalent is an actual annual salary of £12,051.28.   You will be entitled to 25 days paid holiday pro-rata to be taken during the School holidays and eight bank holidays on a pro-rata basis.

Driver

We require a confident driver (term time only) to pick up students in the morning and transport to the School and vice versa after the School day ends.  The successful applicant must have a full driver’s licence (preferably with a CAT D) and be a good communicator as you will have regular contact with children, parents and members of staff.

Hours of work are 2-4 hours a day, Monday to Friday.  The School day commences at 8.30am and finishes at 4.30pm, however the successful applicant needs to be flexible as on occasions there are after school clubs and transport will be required to depart at 5pm, 5.30pm or 6pm. 

Own transport for travel to and from the School is desirable due to our location and requirement for early starts.

The hourly rate of pay is £8.05.     You will also be entitled to paid holiday.
