Head of Science Faculty

Required for September 2019

We require a well-qualified biology teacher for the position of Head of Science Faculty. We are looking for an experienced, energetic and dynamic teacher to lead the Faculty and promote high quality learning in a range of abilities from KS3 to KS5. The successful candidate will also be required to lead, promote and develop a STEM programme. Salary will be according to experience and qualifications.

Part-time Teacher of English

Required for September 2019

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and well qualified part-time teacher of English with the passion and motivation to inspire our students.  The successful candidate will be teaching small mixed ability classes of highly motivated students from KS3 through to A Level in KS5.  The current requirement is for 0.5 of a full timetable which is equivalent to 12 hours per week.  20% PPA is provided.  Cobham Hall is in school for 32 weeks a year and currently has an additional week set aside for INSET and preparation.  Salary will be according to experience and qualifications

Graduate Housemistress

Required for September 2019

We require a Graduate Housemistress to work in one of our Boarding Houses with girls of a range of ages, abilities and backgrounds. This is a one year residential post and accommodation will be provided in the Boarding House.  The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic individual with a passion for pastoral care and a sensitivity to the needs of young people living away from home. Salary is currently £15,000 per annum pro-rata.

Language Assistant: German

German Language Assistant

Required for September 2019

We require an enthusiastic, native German speaker to work as a Language Assistant.  The successful applicant would also be expected to carry out some Boarding duties.

Examinations Officer and Database Manager

We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic person who would relish the opportunity to lead on and have strategic oversight of the implementation, management and use of the School’s data management systems.  The successful candidate will also be required to manage all aspects of the School’s examination systems.   Salary range £25,000 - £29,500 per annum pro-rata depending on experience. This equates to £20,288 - £23,940 per annum.

It is essential that the successful candidate has knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding policies and procedures and a good working knowledge of current best practice in school examination requirements.

The post-holder will work from 08.30 to 17.00 (includes an hour unpaid lunch break), Monday to Friday for 37 weeks a year, which will comprise term time, plus 4 weeks, such times to be agreed from time to time to meet the requirements of the job.  Note that, as an independent school, Cobham Hall’s holiday dates will vary from other schools, please check our website for details.
