School Secretary

Cobham Hall is seeking a School Secretary to provide secretarial and administrative support to the School.  You will be proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and be able to take notes of meetings and generate minutes.  Knowledge of SIMS an advantage, however training will be given.  Confident communication skills are a must.  You will be expected to liaise with students, parents, members of the public and School staff with tact, diplomacy and confidentiality.

Salary is dependent on skills and experience but will be in the region of £18k per annum.  Hours of work are from 8.30am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday with a one hour lunch break.   Holiday is 25 days per annum to be taken during the school holidays.  Occasional evening work may be required.

Caretaker (Full-Time)

We are looking for a hardworking, enthusiastic person to join our Maintenance team on our Night Shift.    

  • £8.05 per hour
  • 36 hours per week
  • 3 week rotating shift pattern:
    • 6.30am to 18.30pm Saturday and Sunday
    • 18.30pm to 06.30am Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
    • One week off
    • 6.30am to 18.30pm Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday
    • Four days off
  • Additional Hours may be required
  • 5 weeks annual holiday per year plus bank holidays, although in line with your roster you may be required to work bank holidays
  • Benefits include death in service insurance and contributory pension scheme

The successful candidate will be a willing, conscientious individual.  The Caretaker provides cover 365 days of the year and the candidate will therefore be required to cover holidays (including Christmas) if they fall within their roster/normal working hours.  Main duties are to carry out security checks and provide a point of contact outside of normal working hours.  However, this role will also include a range of tasks including general caretaking, minor repair, maintenance, and decorating work, driving duties (therefore must have full driving licence), security checks etc. and key is a willingness to contribute to the continued improvement of our School. 

Good communication and customer service skills are essential as you will have regular contact with children, members of staff and function clients.

Full training will be given.

Own transport desirable due to locality of the School.

Teacher of Drama (Full-Time)

Required for September 2018

We require a well-qualified graduate to teach Drama. We are looking for an experienced, energetic and dynamic teacher interested in teaching a range of abilities. We offer A Level in the Sixth Form.  Salary will be according to experience and qualifications.
