Assemblies take place on Mondays and Fridays. Students are encouraged to take assemblies, either as part of their Tutor Group, after attending Round Square events, or about subjects they are passionate about. Staff also take assemblies, and often use these to encourage students to think about wider global events.

After school there is a great variety of clubs, matches and activities, as well as Supper and Prep time.

Our Saturday Morning Programme is designed to complement academic lessons and provide opportunities to learn through experience. Activities vary each week and can include workshops, adventure mornings, and trips. Not every Saturday is compulsory for everyone. A full programme is published at the start of the academic year and made available to Parents.

Curriculum Enhancement Week

During the last week of the Summer Term, our normal timetable is exchanged for a series of workshops, activities and trips. It is a week of challenge, adventure – quite often laughter – and the chance to learn some new and unusual skills.

The week is an expression of fundamental Round Square belief that there is much more to education than classrooms and textbooks. It truly is a week where students can discover that “there is more in you than you think”.

Activities are usually creative, adventurous, cultural and physical or a combination of these and are designed to introduce students to new experiences and test their own limits. For younger years, the week may involve a residential adventure trip, or a series of workshops and outings that complement their curriculum. For older years, there may be eye-opening work experience, or the chance to complete Internal Assessments, attend workshops and prepare for the university application process. It is an ideal way to end the academic year.
