Sixth Form Open Morning: Saturday, 5th March
Our Sixth Form is entering an exciting new phase as we look to welcome boys into Year 12, from September 2022, for the first time in Cobham Hall’s history. Although still subject to approval from the Department for Education, we believe that by moving to a co-educational Sixth Form, we will be creating an environment for those in Years 12 and 13 to begin to prepare academically and socially for life at university. With the refurbishment of part of the main building to become a Sixth Form Centre, there will be ample opportunity for students to work, learn and interact together.
Cobham Hall’s distinctive educational experience encompasses health and wellbeing, a focus on the community and academic success. An emphasis on the development of practical key skills ensures young people leave Cobham Hall ready for their wider journey through life. As well as completing A Levels, Year 12 students participate in the Ivy House Leadership Award, and all students have the opportunity to undertake the popular Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and service projects within the community. Sport, Global Critical Thinking and the Extended Project Qualification also form our Sixth Form curriculum.
Join us on Saturday, 5th March for a morning getting to know Cobham Hall, our staff, students and life in our Sixth Form.
Our Sixth Form Open Morning will offer you a taste of life at Cobham Hall. You’ll be welcomed by our Leadership Team, staff and students, who will introduce Cobham Hall and all we have to offer.
The morning will open with a talk from senior staff about life at Cobham Hall, the benefits of our Sixth Form, and the extra support and individual focus given to prepare students for the next stage of their education.
Students will have the opportunity to experience taster sessions, choosing from Business and Economics; Politics; Psychology; Film and Photography; Physics and Maths; and Biology and Chemistry. During this time, Parents will be able to speak informally with senior staff and teachers. There will also be the opportunity to speak with current Sixth Form students, and have a tour of our teaching areas, Boarding Houses and grounds.
Please complete the form below to register your attendance, and a member of Admissions will be in touch to discuss the subject options for the taster sessions.
