Future Perspectives

Leadership and Life Skills Development

The development of life skills forms a crucial part of our curriculum across the School. The Future Perspectives course aims to equip Year 12 and 13 students with essential life skills and self-awareness to prepare them for their future. It covers a range of topics, starting with personal goal setting and life planning, followed by time management, personal strengths, leadership, first aid, decision making, effective communication, self-confidence, career options, and more.

The course also includes engaging activities and trips that allow students to apply their skills in real-world contexts, such as working with the elderly, helping the homeless, and exploring car maintenance. The curriculum delves into financial literacy, including budgeting, salaries, financial aid, and living independently. Finally, students have the opportunity to apply their knowledge and creativity by setting up a business with a limited budget, encouraging entrepreneurial thinking.
