Bligh House at Cobham Hall Launches Inaugural SENCO Networking Event

How can we better support young people who do not thrive in traditional educational settings?

This is a question that sits at the heart of Bligh House and one that will be explored at the school's inaugural SENCO Networking Event on Wednesday 2 December at Cobham Hall School.

Designed to bring together SENCOs, Inclusion Leads and education professionals, the event will provide an opportunity to share ideas, discuss challenges and explore practical ways to support students who may benefit from a more personalised approach to education.

There will be the opportunity to learn more about the Bligh House approach, explore the role specialist provision can play in supporting students facing barriers within mainstream settings, and build valuable connections with colleagues from across the sector.

The afternoon will also provide insight into the specialist support available at Bligh House at Cobham Hall for young people experiencing SEND, autism, anxiety and emotionally based school non-attendance (EBSNA). Through discussion and networking, attendees will be encouraged to share experiences and identify strategies that can help more young people feel engaged, supported and successful in their education.

At Bligh House, the mission is simple: to help every young person feel safe, understood and able to succeed. By creating opportunities for collaboration between professionals, the school hopes to strengthen support networks and encourage meaningful conversations around inclusion and alternative pathways in education.

Whether supporting pupils within mainstream schools or specialist settings, attendees will have the opportunity to connect with like-minded professionals, exchange perspectives and explore ways to improve outcomes for the young people in their care.
