Life-changing Learning
A Cobham Hall education is about so much more than results: it is an education for life. Our skills-based approach to learning extends beyond academic excellence to include personal development, global awareness and social responsibility.
Our small class sizes ensure that every student receives a tailored education and can excel in any path they choose.
Alongside academic grades, our unique Perspectives Course ensures students leave with the skills universities and employers look for: skills in complex problem-solving, critical thinking and creativity; resilience, teamwork and compassion.
In Lower School (Years 7 to 9), students focus on ‘Personal Perspectives’, learning the fundamental skills they will need to thrive and prosper both in School and out.
In Years 10 and 11, students are introduced to ‘Global Perspectives’ in our skills-based GCSE course which is a compulsory part of the curriculum. In this course, pupils study and critically evaluate key global issues from a range of viewpoints, becoming prepared for the challenges of tomorrow.
Finally, in our Sixth Form, students embark upon ‘Future Perspectives’, a course which both develops leadership skills and provides students with the practical skills and knowledge they will need as they head towards independence, from life-planning and effective communication to cooking on a budget and basic car maintenance.
We want every student to achieve their fullest potential, and our Student Support team (link to Student Support) provide help for those who need it. If English is not a child’s first language, our English as an Additional Language team (link to EAL) provide additional support.
Almost all Cobham Hall students go on to university, some following highly academic routes such as study at Oxbridge and Russell Group institutions, while others opt for more vocational courses. All are happy, motivated and considerate: empowered to be the best they can be, secure in the knowledge they are equipped for an ever-changing future and fully prepared to embrace the challenges ahead.
