On Thursday, we were delighted to welcome ten pupils from Years 5 and 6 at The Pointer School, Blackheath, to experience a day as a Cobham Hall student.
The event was filled with activities, starting in PE where they enjoyed a trampolining lesson and a session on the climbing wall – a highlight of the day for many, they told us later.
The students then headed to Art to create monoprints of various elements of Cobham Hall’s buildings and architecture. Several expressed amazement at the artwork on display around the School: “I wish I could do that someday,” said one.
The students spent the rest of their day in Music and Drama with our Year 7 students, learning a scene from the musical ‘Guys and Dolls’, quickly picking up the choreography and lyrics with their help and making new friends along the way. We very much hope to welcome some of them back as permanent students in the not-too-distant future.
Our thanks to all involved in this event for their time and enthusiasm, making this such a success.
